slm..as in my LE 4500 class last week, we were asked to write our own journal and the very first topic is about own self. So, here is the write-up that i did. It looks a bit weird than my identity that want to remain humble, but this is the reality in presenting yourself especially in interview.

Palestine : Why did you do this to us?
Egypt : Did what?
Palestine : Stop pretending. You know what I mean.
Egypt : No, I don’t!
Palestine : Fine, let me tell you silly, about the tunnel, why did youblock the tunnel?
Egypt : Owh, about that. Sorry, I strongly think that’s my territory, so I have the right to do whatever I want. Furthermore, I just want to stop you from smuggling.

Narrated in Sahih Muslim, Syarh an-Nawawi, 1 hadith from Anas ibn Malik r.a he said, "Verily Prophet pbuh in the time of asking for rain, he made the back side of his hand facing towards sky" - turning hand up-side down while praying for removal of disaster is the practice of Prophet pbuh

Imam an-Nawawi said: "We had explained that those who have obstacles like slaves, women, travellers and others, thus compulsory for them is to perform Zuhr. But, if they prform Jumaat prayer, it is still accepted. If they leave Zuhr for Jumaat prayer, so it's enough for them according to Ijmak"

Assalamualaikum wbt.

1. Alhamdulillah, unintentionally i found website owned by my senior at www.AsraffAyob.com .He was an excellent student with straight A's in UPSR, PMR, SPM, and remarkably known as best in memorization though i scared with his strictness as a senior. He won a lot in Majlis Hafazan at state and national level. He was even able to memorize the Oxford Bilingual English-Malay Dictionary. After getting Imtiyaz in Diploma of Tahfiz, then further his study to Shoubra, Egypt (B.A in Takhassus Qiraat) and UKM (M.A in Psychology I.O). Before he depart to New Zealand to accompany his wife, he introduced his own method of Memorizing al-Quran named Jibril Method.

2. I feel honored to see the high standard article in his post and I wanna all of u guys to read it at http://www.asraffayob.com/dunia-hafazan-al-quran/sistem-berfikir-vs-sistem-menghafaz-pro-kontra/

3. In that article, he explained, expressed and inspired to all the people involved in Tahfiz education regarding the issue of Learning Method in a case of Less Quality Performance and Achievement by the Hafiz in Malaysia.

Then, I did reply him:

slm ustaz..I’m izzudin (your junior@7th generation)

1. May this reply reach u in the best of blessing and health.

2. We have also been thinking the same issues, but your article compiled the perspectives. Of course, after all, you are not only know, but we experienced almost the same.

3. Most of the ‘hafiz’ are highly qualified through UPSR and other main qualifications by their straight A’s, but then the quality of produced ‘hafiz’ does not reflect in the same way.

4. In the end, it seems the system leaves us with a burden to catch up the real ‘hafiz’ requirements, of course again, only if that so called ‘hafiz’ realize it, otherwise they will continue on dreaming of being a ‘hafiz’.

5. My point is not mainly to blame others on self-lackness, but hopefully it will not affect the later generation.
6. In my opinion, the programme/module/syllabus needed may comprises the real life routine of ‘hafiz’ not only as to be a good student, nicest IMAM and to get a job, but also as to be the REFERENCE and SPEAKER in Theory&Applied-Quranic matters, LEADER in society, and EXPERT in Islamic matters. As a bonus, leading them to business world, if you agree with me.

7. In order to achieve that, the focus of Tahfiz education should includes Quranic Memorizations’ theoretical and PRACTICAL inputs plus its supplementary subjects (Tawheed, Fiqh & Tasawwuf), by exposure to global scopes at not only individual level but society level as well.
To put it in simple words:
i - ‘Hands On Experience’ learning method would be the best ; after induction in 1 session, then followed by putting the student outside of the class to practice by pretending that they are facing the situation needed until they succeed. It may not succeed that early, but at least the spark are already placed there.
The students may be busy during class session and prep, the option left is to prioritize the activities during weekend specifically for Hands On Experience session.
Another option, 1 week programme during holiday for every Diploma-level students only may suits them well. It is a crucial stage compared to secondary stage as they began to choose their identity and path.
ii - R&D needed to be done for the students in order to keep them at high level. Just name the issue, Insya-Allah, there are lots of people who can help as well, but the initiation by the people in-charge would be the needed start.
It is a good start that there are lots of association created.

8. To be outside the box of typical ‘hafiz’ is what needed the most.

9. May Allah gives u the best of success in your intention, agenda and efforts.

Best regards,
MOHD IZZUDIN MOHD FAUDZI

  1. 1 day, u will see a remarkable speaker who talk about huffaz at global level. Maybe, u all will be wondering how he will present himself. Is he gonna look like Dato' Dr. Fadzilah Kamsah with his westerners attire, or like Dato' Abu Hassan Din AlHafiz with his Arabian theme?
  2. I adore the way Anthony Robbins present himself as to wear what he likes, when and where he likes, the bottom line is, just be who u are, then your audience will be pleased that u re-present your own self not others.
  3. But, no matter how, u have to make your self one step above than your audience.
  4. Of course, i'm not gonna dressed up with shortpant !, but kopiah n jeans will make it special. Then it becomes the definition of yourself.
  5. Here as well, i would like to quote a simple formula on how to start changing process in our life according to Brads Sugar (ActionCoach):
BE X DO = HAVE
(Be positive in thinking and Do positive actions, its will lead to having positive values or attitudes)

To see my friend going through his life with his choice was really a tough call that he did. He even start all over again with the same choice, but with double effort. It really inspired me because i'm facing the same situation now. Before, i put myself in an MLM, insurance industry and Quranic teaching. I feel better in the third industry.

Quranic teaching as an industry is like putting your Quranic traditional class into a major business like what have been done by Kumon Asia & Ocenia Pte. Ltd. So, i'll go for it, insya Allah. See you in the next post, but before that, have a read on this:
  • It is not that easy to make a choice in life, the larger your target, the greater its pressure would be.
  • Like said in the previous post, bad start is not really that bad, it will make you even more mature.
  • Start all over again is a right choice, but never repeat the same previous mistakes.
  • Do not put the same previous level of effort but double it.
  • Do not look back and do not hold back once you have your choice.
  • GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CHOICE!!

Pemuda: Pak Imam yakin? Profesor dan banyak orang pintar yang saya tanya tidak mampu menjawab pertanyaan saya.

Pak Imam: Saya akan mencuba sejauh kemampuan saya, insya’Allah.

As this post is up here, the inter-semester vacation for IIUM between Sem 2 2009/2010 and sem 3 2009/2010 is at the beginning. I had my own plan to use all the coming 14-days during the vacation. All i want to do is to start my dream to be a great insurance agent in MCIS Zurich. I need to concentrate to have a good start in a new business planning, in order to make me success in this new career. I've interested in this field since 19 years old, but only this time I've decided to truly be serious and gain benefit from it.

As for me, planning for vacation need to be done with some of these checklists:
1) Beneficial for your personal life (ibadah, health, knowledge)
2) Beneficial for your family (time)
3) Beneficial for the Ummah (beneficial activity)
4) Beneficial for your future (planning and preparation for upcoming events)

Salam..it's been a while since the last time i wrote an entry for this blog..busy is not among the reason and i don't know why..in this year, some changes happened..

First, i resigned from working as an administrative staff at Student Development Division, IIUM..Second, i resigned from holding a position as a president in Community Service (CENSERVE Team) 2009/2010. Then, i was offered to work as a Quranic teacher at some houses in Setiawangsa. At this rate, my study is still on.

i've come to think that even you have a high ambition, but your body can't take it, it can't still be done..i've suffered severe headache since 17 which made me faint several times..it's not that i don't take any action on that, but the 'red tape effects' was severe too, from the district health center until the state hospital at negeri sembilan, all are the same.."you need to go here first (without checking the illness)"..lastly, i became one of the person who gave up to face the 'red tape' situation..

recently, i was sent to neurology department (after begging) to have at least a medical check up, then the result is i have a hypertension..even after the conversation with my head department (Medical Anthropologist), he detected the same..

therefore, i would like to advise to take of your health and also never do not become one of such Red Tape.

Red Tape

The collection or sequence of forms and procedures required to gain bureaucratic approval for something, especially when oppressively complex and time-consuming.
This expression alludes to the former British custom of tying up official documents with red ribbon. [Early 1800s]
Red tape generally includes the filling out of seemingly unnecessary paperwork, obtaining of unnecessary licenses, having multiple people or committees approve a decision and various low-level rules that make conducting one's affairs slower, more difficult, or both.

Hypertension

By Mayo Clinic staff:

High blood pressure (hypertension) is a risk factor for more than heart disease. Discover what complications high blood pressure can cause and how to control it.
High blood pressure can quietly damage your body for years before symptoms develop. Left uncontrolled, you may wind up with a disability, a poor quality of life or even a fatal heart attack. Fortunately, with treatment and lifestyle changes, you can control your high blood pressure to reduce your risk of life-threatening complications.

You never have to make up for a good start. If a project or a job gets off to a bad start it can be difficult to catch up. Do your planning up front so you get a good start and you won't regret it.
